This article contains all of my featured video clips. In this videoclip, I am singing Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again by Andrew Lloyd Webber. It was recorded on 25/09/2008. It is from "The Phantom of the Opera." It reminds me of my father, especially when I watch the scene where the song is played in the movie. I was actually practicing the songs from the movie. I loved this one the most, and practiced singing this one while my father was sick, and just after his death. When I sing this song, I think of him, and it makes me get emotional and I am moved by the song. Download This Video In this videoclip, I am singing Let It Be written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. It was recorded on 24/09/2008. I really love this song. My father used to play it to me when he was alive. I had kept his old sheet music, and I decided that I felt like going back through his songs which I had kept. I found this one, and since I hadn't sung this in a while, I began singing it again. I really like the lyrics. It's such a simple, classic song. I'll never get tired of it. Download This Video In this videoclip, I am singing Take That Look Off Your Face, Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Lyrics by Don Black. It was recorded on 04/10/2008. This song was written for the song cycle show "Tell Me On A Sunday". It is about a woman being told of her boyfriend's infidelity. The woman denies this fact and sends her newsbearer (a girlfriend) off. This is a great song to sing and the lyrics really tell a story. In this videoclip I am singing On My Own from Les Miserables. Lyrics by Alain Boublil, Herbert Kretzmer, John Caird, Trevor Nunn, and Jean-Marc Natel. Music by Claude-Michel Schonberg. I recorded this videoclip on 05/10/2008. In the movie/play "Les Miserables," the students prepare to build the barricade. Marius, noticing that Eponine has joined the insurrection, sends her with a letter to Cosette, which is intercepted at the Rue Plummet by Valjean. Eponine decides, despite what what he has said to her, to rejoin Marius as the Barricade. I have seen the play, and I absolutely love this song. It is one of the most meaningful songs that I have ever heard, and I can really relate to the song and the lyrics. I Have Confidence In this video clip I am singing I Have Confidence from "The Sound of Music." Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, Music by Richard Rodgers. I recorded this video clip on 05/10/2008. In the movie/play "The Sound of Music", when Maria has to leave the abbey and undertake a new assignment to serve as a temporary governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. She attempts to bolster her confidence by singing this song. This song is wonderful because when I sing it, just like it did for Maria in the Sound of Music, it does actually bolster up my confidence. I love the lyrics, I can identify with them, and it makes me feel more and more confident as the song goes on. It is a great song to sing first for me because I experience anxiety when I sing in public on my own.
